Ambos hablan sobre la manera de acabar con el hambre y la pobreza en el mundo. Yong Kim: “We can find a path to ending poverty sooner than 25 years” (Encontraremos una manera de acabar con la pobreza en 25 años)
Bono: “I’ve learned to talk abt diversity of African continent rather than overdramatizing, generalizing” (He aprendido a hablar de la diversidad del Continente africano y a no dramatizar)
Bono: “Open data and transparency will turbocharge ending extreme poverty.” (Los datos claros y la transparencia impulsaran el final de la pobreza extrema)
Bono sobre el riesgo de que haya recortes en la ayuda: “We know there are going to be cuts … but not cuts that cost lives.” (Sabemos que va a haber recortes… Pero no recortes que cuesten vidas)
Jim Yong Kim: “It’s amazing that we seem to have to relearn the importance of putting women at center of development again & again” (Es increíble pero parece que tenemos que volver a aprender la importancia de poner a las mujeres en el centro del desarrollo una y otra vez)
Bono: “If my father was alive it would make him smile: I want to work for the World Bank!” (Si mi padre estuviera vivo le haría sonreír: ¡Quiero trabajar en el Banco Mundial!)
